Overview

This article:

  • Identifies the proper Scan To Network Folder (SNF) version for your MFP.
  • Provides additional identification of this software package.
  • Provides simple device installation instructions.

 

 

What version do you need?

If attempting to obtain Scan to Network Premium, you will need to call your sales representative, Lexmark, or an authorized solutions provider. This licensed version of Scan to Network adds additional features, but comes at an additional cost.

The x denotes any number within a given multi-function printer series.

Visit Lexmark.com, select Downloads, and perform a search for Lexmark_Scan2Network_en.exe or Scan2Network; or select product name, select Operating System, and locate the file under the Software tab.

Visit Lexmark.com, select Downloads, and perform a search for ScanToNet.exe; or select the MFP, the Operating System, and locate the file under the Software tab.

 

Note: X792 and X925 MFPs with updated firmware code levels will include SNF. The newer updated 4.1.15 version is only available via Lexmark Technical Support or if you have access to the Virtual Solution Center.

Solution installation overview

 

  1. Download the file. This file is a self-extracting executable.
  2. Select Run.

NOTE: If you do not see this option, you may need to download a evaluation copy of the WinRar™ or WinZip™.

  1. You will observe extraction of the individual files.
  2. Select Agree to the license agreement.
  3. Click Install to install the software components to the default Lexmark directory, or click Browse to change directories or create a new directory.
  4. Open your MFP's embedded web server or web page.
  5. Click on Settings or Configuration for older MFPs.
  6. Click on Embedded Solutions.
  7. Click on Install.
  8. Click Browse to locate, and select, the .fls file. This file location was specified in Step 5.
  9. Click Open.
  10. Be patient as the solution installs on your MFP.
