This software is applicable for the following devices:

  • Most printer models before 2010
  • Lexmark Genesis S800 Series

LexPrint is a free application that lets you print easily from your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch using any Lexmark printer connected to the same wireless network. However, this application is no longer available for download and has limited support.

The information found in this article is only applicable to users who still have the app installed in their IOS device. This is also applicable to older products that are still compatible with this application.

To be able to print using current IOS devices, a new application has been developed in place of LexPrint. Refer to KB article: SO8194 for additional information on Lexmark Mobile Print app.

How to Print from a an iPhone, iPod Touch, or IPad with LexPrint

NOTE: Remote printing from your Apple™ iPhone 3GSiPad (1st generation) or iPod Touch (3rd generation) requires the LexPrint application and LexPrint listener.

Before you begin

  • The computer has to be on the same network as your Wi-Fi-equipped iPhone/iPad.
  • LexPrint cannot communicate over a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN). This secure network connection is typically configured by your work-place IT department.
  • The LexPrint version for the iPad has an embedded browser so you can print web pages.
  • If your printer supports "Bonjour", then you will only need the Lexprint application; i.e., S800.
  • Make sure your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad meets the minimum system requirements, and make sure you have an active Internet connection (to download LexPrint).

Step Action

Select a printer to start printing from your iPhone or iPod touch.

From the home screen of your mobile device, tap .

From the LexPrint home screen, tap .

Tap Printer.

Select your printer from the list.

NOTE: If your printer does not appear on the list, then see “Device cannot detect printer” on page 11 of the LexPrint Administrators Guide.
