This article outlines the proper procedure for placing paper or other media onto the flatbed scanner of an X4600 series scanner.
If you notice streaks or other print quality problems occurring with your scans, trying cleaning the flatbed scanner glass before seeking service on the scanner. For directions on cleaning the flatbed scanner glass, click here.
Avoid scanning any of the following materials:
- - Paper that is wet or has ink that is not completely dry. Using paper that is not completely dry could result in marks or streaks being left on the flatbed scanner glass.
- - Any metallic or similar items that can damage or scratch the flatbed scanner glass.
