This article describes how to create a backup copy of crucial MarkVision Professional (MVP) 11.X settings.

Stop the MarkVision Server and MarkVision Web Server services. To do this, click Start, Settings, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services.

Save all folders at ...\Lexmark\MarkVision Server\granite, excluding bin, Common, Lib, install, src, and maps, to a safe location.
This should include the data and Plugin directories.
NOTE: Steps 3 and 4 are not necessary if you have properly saved the data directory; however, these steps have been included as personal assurance measures. 3
Select MarkVision, Export Server Settings to save additional end-user customization settings. Image 4
Select MarkVision, Device Discovery, Manage Discovery Profiles... to export all device discovery profiles to a safe location. Image 5
Once the backup is complete, restart the MarkVision server and web server.
Remember: Any changes to ...\Lexmark\MarkVision Server\granite directory contents requires stopping and starting MarkVision services.
