Mac OS 10.3 Lexmark Setup Assistant (LSA) Unable to Locate the Printer During Installation

Document ID:HO3106

Usergroup :External

Mac OS 10.3 Lexmark Setup Assistant (LSA) unable to locate the printer during installation; Mac; No printer detected; Cannot find printer; Setup assistant fails to find printer; Stuck at printer configuration

Incomplete system optimization prevents a successful search using the Setup Assistant.

What you will see

A No printer detected message may appear while you are installing the printer on a Macintosh running OS 10.3 (Panther).  This error indicates that the system optimization process has not completed; however, this cannot be seen because the dialog is running behind the Lexmark 9300 Series Setup Assistant (LSA). See the image below.

Make sure the Optimizing System Performance process has completed before running the LSA.
