Solution

Fuser Removal

To remove the fuser assembly from your printer:

  1. Turn off the printer.
     CAUTION!  The fuser may be hot.  If possible, allow it to cool for 10 to 15 minutes after powering the printer off.
     

  2. Open the top access door.
     

  3. Rotate the two fuser thumbscrews (A) counterclockwise until they are loosened.  NOTE: The thumbscrews are captured and will not come completely out of the printer.
     

  4. Grasp the handles (B) and lift the fuser straight up and out of the printer.
