Problem
Unable to sort toner cartridges using their maximum capacity; More devices than expected are shown when devices are filtered using the supply capacity.
Environment
How to sort devices using a specific toner/ink capacity; MarkVision Professional (MVP) 11.0; When you filter devices using the Toner/Ink Levels: Capacity parameter, the devices that will be added to this folder will be filtered using all the supplies on the device.
Thus if you create two folders, one to display all devices with a toner/ink capacity of more than 5,000 pages and the other to display all devices with a toner/ink capacity of less than or equal to 5,000 pages, a printer having one toner cartridge with a capacity of 3,000 pages and another cartridge with a capacity of 6,000 pages will be displayed in both folders as one of the supplies matches both filters.
Thus if you create two folders, one to display all devices with a toner/ink capacity of more than 5,000 pages and the other to display all devices with a toner/ink capacity of less than or equal to 5,000 pages, a printer having one toner cartridge with a capacity of 3,000 pages and another cartridge with a capacity of 6,000 pages will be displayed in both folders as one of the supplies matches both filters.
Solution
To allow filtering using one specific cartridge color, the Toner Capacity plug-in adds four new parameters that can be selected in the advanced parameters of the filters:
To install the plug-in:
- Toner/Ink Levels (Black): Capacity
- Toner/Ink Levels (Cyan): Capacity
- Toner/Ink Levels (Magenta): Capacity
- Toner/Ink Levels (Yellow): Capacity
To install the plug-in:
- Download the file ENUS22279_Toner_Capacity_v1_2.zip and unzip it.
