It is important to clean the cartridge nozzles regularly since it can get clogged due to dried ink or dust. Proper cartridge maintenance is essential to ensure good print quality. This article explains how to properly clean the print cartridge nozzle manually.

IMPORTANT!  You should ONLY follow the steps below to resolve a print quality problem if you have already attempted to solve the problem by printing a "Clean Print Nozzles" page. On all recent Lexmark Photo Jetprinters printers, this option is available under the Maintenance tab of the Lexmark Solution Center (LSC) or Lexmark Printer Home (LPH). On some Lexmark AIO Photo Jetprinters, you can also find this option in the control panel menu.

Before you begin

Ensure that your print cartridges has sufficient amount of ink left on it. Print quality problems will arise if ink level is insufficient.

NOTE: For additional information on how to perform a Clean Print Nozzle and check ink levels, please reference your supplied User's Guide located on the printer CD. This guide can also be downloaded from the Lexmark website. Click here for more information on how to obtain your printer's User's Guide.
