How to remove and reinstall the system board cover
You can customize your printer memory capacity and connectivity by adding optional cards or hard disk. CAUTION! If you are installing memory or option cards some time after setting up the printer, turn the printer off and unplug the power cord and any other cables before continuing. Removing the system board access cover:
Locate the access cover on the back of the printer.
Loosen the four screws at the top of the access cover, but do not remove the screws completely.
Remove the four screws at the bottom of the cover.
Slide the cover down to remove it.
Use the following illustration to locate the connector for the card you want to install:
Key: A. Hard disk connector B. Option card connector C. Firmware card connector D. Memory / flash memory card connector
Replacing the system board access cover: After you have finished installing cards on the printer system board, you must replace the system board access cover.
Align the slots at the top of the access cover with the screws near the top of the printer.
Slide the cover up under the top cover lip as far as it will go, and then tighten the screws at the top of the cover.
Insert and tighten the four screws to the bottom of the cover.
