How to reset the printer NVRAM; How to restore factory defaults on the printer; How to clear the NVRAM
You must first enter Printer Diagnostics mode. Do the following:
Turn off the printer.
Open the top cover.
While turning the printer on, hold the Continue button.
When the Error light is solid, release the Continue button and close the cover. The first four lights on your printer will be lit. Printer Diagnostics mode is now activated.
Press and release the Cancel button until the Ready/Data is solid, then release the button.
Press and hold the Continue button until all the lights come on. This will reset the printer to the original factory defaults.
Power the printer off and on. This allows the printer to exit Diagnosticsmode and reset.
You are advised to print a Setup Page containing all user-defined options (paper or custom paper types, bins, etc) before the NVRAM reset. Press the Cancel button. This prints the settings page for the printer AND the network card. Note: This NVRAM Reset does NOT affect the settings on the network card.
