Enabling SMBv3 protocol
A new update is available for the printer which will provide an option to enable or disable the SMBv3 protocol for all apps. This setting was added in the EC6 release version LH60.xx.P647 for device released in the year 2010. This update allows a user to enable the option by checking the Enable SMBv3 option under General Settings which is accessed from the embedded web server (EWS).
NOTE: For devices released in the year 2012, the update will be available in the EC7 release.
If the printer is still using the EC6 release version between LHS60.xx.P615 and LHS60.xx.P646, SMBv3 will need to be enabled for each individual app. Please follow the procedure below:
Download the UCF file that contains the UCF keys to enable SMBv3 support for the following eSF Apps:
This UCF file must be imported from the main Import/Export webpage: Settings > Import/Export > Import Embedded Solutions Settings File.
