Solution

Explanation

The displayed fuser life value for the Lexmark C79x and X79x devices with firmware code levels below .P319 is incorrect. It is important to note that the displayed value does not affect printer fuser operation and expected life value which is 150,000 sides.

NOTE: "Side" value refers to the number of printed sides on a paper or media; i.e., one sheet of paper can have two sides of printed output.

* An x denotes any number within a given printer series.

Recommended solution

To resolve this concern, the printer’s firmware should be updated with the appropriate PE Release codes for the following models.

Printer Model PE Release Code
C79x LHS30.HC.P319 or later
X79x LHS30.MR.P319 or later

NOTE: Please contact Lexmark Technical Support to obtain the firmware. Our Phone or Chat Support Agents can also guide you should you need assistance in doing the update.

Still need help?

Please contact Lexmark Technical Support if you need additional assistance. NOTE: When calling for support, you will be asked for your machine/model type and serial number (SN).
