Generating Printer Reports Does Not Show Printer Hostnames on MVE 1.8.2

What you will see

When generating reports for MarkVision Enterprise (MVE) 1.8.2, some discovered printers will not display their hostnames.

NOTE: Generating a printer report via MVE allows users real-time tracking of printer usage.


Recommended solution

Changing the Hostname Source value to Printers resolves this issue. Follow the steps below:

Step Action Click Image to Enlarge
1 Access MVE, and then click on System Configuration.

2 Click on the General Tab, set the Hostname Source value from Reverse DNS lookup to Printer, and then click Apply.
