What you will see
Should you immediately follow a narrow media print job with a full-coverage job (i.e., Letter or A4), you may observe a large, dark, vertical band in the printed image that happens to be the same width as the narrow media used in your prior job. See samples below:

This effect is the result of a non-uniform Photoconductor (PC) drum charging when printing a narrow media print job. The "ghost image" is an artifact of the narrow media job. It remains on the PC drum until a short passage of time reduces the charging differences on the drum.
The ghost-print result can be expected whenever an abrupt and continuous change of media size occurs. If such banding is experienced after printing narrow media, simply reprint the following Letter or A4 print job a second time. This should clear the ghost image.
In addition, avoid this type of print defect by merely giving the printer time to cool after printing narrow media before you change the paper size to a larger media type.
