Solution

What you will see
 

On a single page, a horizontal, dark band located about 37mm or 1-1/2 inches from the page top can be seen. This typically appears in a graphic but can also appear in text. See sample print below:

Possible cause
 

Toner contamination on the Charge roll.

 

Recommendation
 

The band appears in the first 37mm (1-1/2") of a page. Typically, it will clear up in the first 30-40 pages or with continuous printing.

If the defect still occurs after that, contact Lexmark Technical Support to replace the Imaging Unit.
