Overview

A 200.01 Paper Jam error message appears on the control panel display and includes the area of the printer where the jam occurred. The paper jam is located either on the Front door or on Tray 1.

Probable Cause

A 200.01 Paper Jam indicates that a sensor was covered when a print job was sent to an idle printer.

Troubleshooting

1 Be sure any previous jams have been completely removed; click here and refer to 200.xx Paper Jam Removal.

2 Make sure that the Standard Paper Tray (Tray 1) is not overloaded; please refer to Paper Loading Tips.

3 If issue persists after performing the steps mentioned above, an issue may exist within the machine's hardware. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support for other troubleshooting suggestions.
