Overview
This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK BACKGROUND & IDLE SCREEN application for printers.
Lexmark Background and Idle Screen is an embedded solution that can be installed on printers that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v1.2, v2.0, or v3.0. Background and Idle Screen enables a timed idle screen to appear and a custom background to be featured on a printer's operator panel.
Requirements
- Any single or multifunction printer that supports eSF v1.2, v2.0, and v3.0 applications.

- MFP device memory requirements: A minimum of 256 MB RAM.
- Single function printers (SFPs): A minimum of 256 MB RAM.
- A hard drive is required to enable multi-card scanning.
- This application requires an electronic license. To obtain a license, go to www.lexmark.com and click the "Contact Lexmark" link at the bottom of the screen.

eSF v2.0 printers

- A file size no larger than 128KB
- Home screen background image size (in pixels): 800x405
- Idle screen image size (in pixels): 800x480
eSF v3.0 printers
- A GIF/JPEG/PNG image
- A file size no larger than 128KB
- Home screen background image size (in pixels): 800x414
