This article provides basic information regarding the configuration of destination shortcuts with Scan to Network Folder (SNF).
This article is intended as a supplement to the Scan to Network Administrator's Guide.

You can obtain this MFP solution from, and click here if you are unsure what version of this application is needed.

IMPORTANT! This embedded solution software does not replace the functionality of a network TWAIN driver. A network TWAIN driver will still be required for the MFP to scan to TWAIN-compliant software applications.

Before you begin

IMPORTANT! You must confirm the following before attempting this procedure:
  • The solution is successfully installed on your MFP.
  • You have an active share on your computer.
  • If using a Guest account, make sure this account is enabled on the computer operating system with full read and write permissions.

Example Scan to Network destination shortcut creation

Currently up to 30 destination shortcuts can be created and stored on the MFP.

NOTE: Older MFPs will require a base code of .P2XX or later.

  2. Use MFP's authentication  credentials:
The application will use the MFP's authentication credentials to gain access to the share.
  1. Prompt for username and password
The application will display a runtime prompt when the destination shortcut is selected. Entry of the correct  username and password will then be required for access to the share.
