Overview
The install procedure described below uses the installation CD provided with your X560MFP; however, this procedure will work with any printer driver downloaded from Lexmark.com.
Before You Begin
It is important to verify the following:
The printer is communicating on the network. A previous Standard TCP/IP port does not exist. If there is such a port, delete it before you begin the procedure.
Click here if unsure how to delete the port or if you are having a problem deleting the port. You are installing an individual print queue at a workstation or PC.
Procedure: Windows XP Network Installation via Add Printer

| 1 | Insert the installation CD into the DVD/CD-ROM drive, or download the appropriate driver file package from Lexmark.com. |
| 2 | Open the Printer and Faxes window. To do this:

| 3 | Click on Add a Printer. |
| 4 | Welcome to the Add Printer Wizard appears. Click Next. |
| 5 | Click Add a Local Printer or select Local printer attached to the computer, and then click Next. |
| 6 | Click on Create a New Port. |
| 7 | Next to Type of Port, click the down arrow and select Standard TCP/IP port from the multiple port types displayed in the drop-down menu. |

Click Next to initiate the Add Standard TCP/IP Printing Port Wizard. |

Again, click Next. |

Add Port now appears. Enter the MFP or printer IP address or the host name of the printer. Required dialog entry fields:

Click Next. |

Click Finish. The port characteristics will look something like this:

| 13 Interim Port Selection Screen |
Select a Printer Port will appear, but available ports will not be selectable since you have just created the port intended for use with this instance of driver installation. Click here for image. |
14 Install Printer Software |
Highlight the appropriate Lexmark, Lexmark PCL, or Lexmark PS under Manufacturer and the affiliated printer model under Printers. Click Next. Click here for image. |
15 (optional or necessary) Install Printer Software (Web download or installation CD) |
If the driver is not listed, click Have Disk... and Browse to the appropriate .inf for the driver. NOTE: You may see the correct driver path by clicking on the down arrow next to Copy manufacturers file from, but this is not guaranteed. Click here for image. |
| 16 | After clicking on Have Disk... and Browse, follow the these instructions to navigate to the appropriate .inf file on the driver CD:

| 17 | After clicking on Open, the Install from Disk screen will now appear with the driver file path populating the Copy manufacturers files from dialog box. Click OK. |
| 18 | Click on the MFP or printer to select the model, and then click Next. |
| 19 | Select Keep existing driver (recommended), and then click Next. Option: Replace existing driver. |
| 20 Name Your Printer and Set As Default |
A printer name will automatically populate the dialog box. Change the name if necessary and indicate whether you want this printer to be your default (go-to) printer. Click Next. |
| 21 Printer Sharing |
Select Yes or No for printer sharing; if Yes, enter a share name. Click Next. |
| 22 Test Page |
Select Yes or No to the prompt to Print a Test Page, and then click Next. |
| 23 Completing Add Printer Wizard |
Click Finish. |
