Environment

This document is applicable to the following Lexmark printer models:

  • Single function: MS310, MS410, MS510, MS610, M1140, M1145, & M3150
  • Multi function: MX310, MX410, MX510, MX511, MX610, MX611, XM1145, & XM3150

Solution

Overview
 

The printer produces a clicking noise from the paper exit area. Play the sample audio file below and compare it to the sound produced by your printer. Is it same kind of noise?

NOTES:

Recommended solution
 

This type of noise requires replacement of the Re-drive Exit Shaft. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support to set up service for the printer.
