How to Identify Your Printer's Embedded Solutions Framework Version

Solution

To do this:

  1. Obtain the printer's IP address from the device's front control panel or network settings page.
  • Under the TCP/IP Section under the printer's Network/Ports section
  • Network settings page under the TCP/IP section

 Obtaining IP from control panel example:

    1. Tap the Menus button.
    2. Tap the Network/Ports.
    3. Tab Std Network.
    4. Tap Std. Net Setup.
    5. Tap TCP/IP.
    6. Press IP Address.
    7. Take note of the IP address.
    8. Press Home button.

 

  1. Enter the IP Address into the Internet browser's URL field; e.g., http://IP_Address, where IP_Address is the TCP/IP address of the printer.
  2. Click Reports.
  3. Click Device Settings.
  4. Scroll down the page until you see Embedded Solutions (usually found near the bottom).
  5. Take note of the version next to Framework.
