The staple or hole punch locations are incorrect with 11x17 or A3 (420 x 297 mm) media. Mixed-size media causes 11x17 output to get stapled upside down or in the wrong orientation.
Other symptoms include:
Example scenario
| When document prints... | And, when the output is stapled... |
| Page 1 comes out "right side up"... | The 11x17 page is stapled upside down. |
| Page 2 comes out "upside down" (rotated)... | |
| Page 3 comes out "right side up"... |
All wide-format printers that accept 11x17 paper.
Rotate the image 180 degrees to alter the staple and hole punch positions. Otherwise, contact Lexmark Technical Support to inquire about a special product request to change the device's normal operating behavior.
Printer design affects the way landscape pages exit the printer; landscape-orientated pages exit the printer with the beginning margin at the "bottom" and this will affect staple jobs using mixed media and orientation since pages are typically stapled or hole punched at the "top" or left side.
