Firmware Update Recommendations

If you are experiencing an issue with the your product, or you would like to enhance your product's functionality.

Step 1: Check your printer's current code levels. See "How to Check Printer Firmware Levels" below if you are unfamiliar with this procedure.

If your printer has ... (scenarios)
Then...
Printer firmware (Base) code ≤ LW40.\\.P439 and Engine code ≤ .E509
  1. Review Release Notes above to identify a fix or feature
  2. Eliminate the scenarios that follow.
  3. Continue to Step 2.
The latest firmware installed; for example, firmware version under Device Information is already at the level specified in this article. Contact Lexmark Technical Support or search Knowledgebase.
A special version of firmware was installed to address a specific issue or add specific functionality.
  1. Again, reference the Release Notes for identification purposes.
