Defect Symptom

Dark Vertical Lines occur when printing (not copying or scanning).

  1. Clean the Printhead glasses (check KB SO4845).
  2. Print the Print Quality Pages (Config Menu > Prt Quality Pgs).
  3. Verify whether the defect shows up on one color or all colors.
  4. If one color only is involved, replace the Developer Unit of the corresponding color and the PCU. If all colors are affected, however, please contact Lexmark Technical Support or a local authorized service provider to arrange a service call.
