What you will see

 

You receive the following message when you attempt to utilize the E-mail feature in Scan Center: 

"Create process failure. The program doesn't exist or is currently running."

 

Products Affected

  • Microsoft Windows 7 (64bit)
  • Lexmark Scan Center v1.10
  • Microsoft Outlook 2013
  • Local TWAIN

 

Explanation

Changes to Microsoft Outlook architecture have changed the way Microsoft adds attachments. Moreover, the later versions of Scan Center not longer include the E-mail feature.

 

Workaround 

 

You can perform a TWAIN-scan and attach the image file to a standard e-mail, or you can configure Scan to E-mail to use Microsoft Outlook 365 if the printer is connected to a network. Click here for further information.
