Recommended troubleshooting

  1. Try printing on recommended media, dry media, and media fresh out of a ream.
  2. Check the media type and weight settings on the machine and make sure that these match with the type and weight of the media being used.
  3. Ghosting can occur when the fuser is running too hot or too cold. Set the media Type, Weight and Texture to the appropriate type, weight, and texture.
  4. If defect persists, contact Lexmark Technical Support to set up service for the printer.
