What you will see

You receive a 32 Unsupported Cartridge Error after first-time cartridge replacement in a Lexmark XS795dte or the XS798.  
 

Suggested Remedy

This error message is triggered when the printer registers the wrong toner cartridge as being installed.

NOTE: Perform the following checks in the table below but definitely contact Lexmark Technical Support upon completion.

32 Unsupported Cartridge Error is triggered immediately following the installation of a replacement toner cartridge...

Please contact Lexmark Technical Support and reference this article ID# TE2

Cartridge may be broken.

This is difficult to check without another cartridge on hand.

 

Cartridge may not be seated properly.

To check this:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Reseat the toner cartridge.
  3. Close the lid.
  4. Power the printer back on and check the display.

You may not have the correct replacement cartridge

Please contact your point of purchase, especially if the cartridge is brand new out of the box.

Again, if you have eliminated these possibilities, please contact Lexmark Technical Support and reference article ID# TE2.

NOTE: Please make sure you are not using refilled or refurbished toner cartridges. Refilled cartridges can cause this error to occur.
