  • The built-in Scan To Network (Basic) app is updated to Version 4.1.20 to improve MRC-compression functionality. 
  • Addressed an issue that prevented you from canceling a large scan-to job when using an app on a low-memory device

  • Fixed an occurrence of a 913.11 error

.E305 Functional Enhancements:

  • Reduced energy consumption of the device when in sleep mode
  • Improvement in throughput performance when picking from Tray 3 or Tray 4
  • Unsupported supply algorithm updated

Field Issues and Fixes:

  • Fixed a particular fusegrade issue
  • Fixed issue that could affect toner darkness in all colors
  • Fixed some occurrences of the following errors: 913.44, 914.69, 913.11
  • Fixed an occurrence of a busy hang
  • This corrected an image placement error when printing on media much narrower than letter/A4; the worse case was A6 media, which was shifted by as much as 1.5mm to the right of the intended location.
  • Improved toner usage estimation in the lightest print darkness settings
  • Fix for narrow media algorithm during large batch jobs and very specific timings

Firmware update recommendations

 

Step 1: Check your printer's current code levels. See "How to Check Printer Firmware Levels" below if you are unfamiliar with this procedure.

If printer firmware (Base) code ≤ .P231 and Engine code ≤ .E113

You are experiencing an issue with the device, or you would like to possibly enhance product functionality... Reference the Release Notes  to attempt to identify your issue, or continue to Step 2.

After downloading and extracting the files, you will update the device using the Windows automated flash file (.exe) or select your flash (.fls) update method below

Make sure the printer is READY to receive firmware, and do not interrupt the printer's power or data connection during the update process.

How to check printer firmware levels

To do this, obtain the Menu Settings page or access the printer's embedded web server (EWS) for this purpose. 

Checking firmware levels via Printer Menu's Setting page

1 Press the Menu button on the Operator Panel.
2 Touch Reports.
3 Touch Menu Settings Page to start printing.

Look for the code level under “Device Information”. 

 

Checking firmware levels via the printer's embedded web server (EWS):

1 Launch your internet browser application.
2 After http://, enter the printer's IP address.

Click on Reports.

4 Click on Device Information.
