Overview


Scan to Network Folder (SNF) is an embedded scan option available when you press the Scan icon () on your inkjet printer’s control panel.

 

What you will see


You are unable to scan to a shared network folder set up in a Macintosh OS 10.7.x and 10.8.x. You may encounter any of the following errors below:

Explanation


Scan to Network Folder will not work in Macintosh OS 10.7.x and 10.8.x because these OSes no longer support SAMBA version 1, which is the protocol used by many multifunction devices for scanning to a network folder. Macintosh OS now supports SAMBA version 2.
