Poor print quality is seen on 1200 dpi images, but 4800 CQ images have good print quality.
It is important to realize that executing a calibration via op panel or Embedded Web Server (EWS) with “Calibration” option disabled in the printer will not execute a 1200 dpi calibration. In this scenario, 1200 dpi print quality can be degraded due to incorrect calibration values. To correct this issue:
- Enable Calibration via Configuration Menu > Color Adjust > (any setting other than Disabled).
- After calibration has been re-enabled, manually initiate a calibration.
- For C792: Settings > Quality > Color Adjust
- For X792: Printer Settings > Quality > Color Adjust
