No Wi-Fi Light on the Lexmark Z1410, Z1420, and the Z1480 Printers

What you will see

No light is visible on the Z1400 series Wi-Fi medallion.


What to do

Follow the steps below to diagnose the cause of the error.

Step Action

Plug a USB cable into the Z1400 and into a powered-on computer. The Wi-Fi light should now be orange.


Remove the power adapter from the back of the printer.

  • Wait one minute.
  • If the carrier returns to the center, reseat the cartridges and attempt to print a network settings page. The light should still be orange. If not, continue to Step 3.

Reset the internal network adapter
 and wait one minute. The light should now be orange.
