Overview
Performing the procedures in this article will reveal your computer's IP parameters. Relevant settings include:
- IP address
- Subnet (Netmask)
- Gateway address (also known as the router's or access point's (AP) IP address, which is useful for opening the router's web page or embedded web server (EWS) page.
IMPORTANT COMMUNICATION TEST! Once you have obtained the gateway address, type this address into your Web browsers URL field to open your router's EWS; e.g., 192.168.0.1* entered as http://192.168.0.1. Click here for another example.
NOTE: * This value will vary by router manufacturer.
