Possible cause and recommended solution
This defect is most likely due to a damaged Imaging Unit, also called Photoconductor (PC). The PC drum can be damaged by Electrostatic discharge (ESD) or extended exposure to light.
|Important! Do not touch the photoconductor drum or expose it to direct light for more than 10 minutes.|
To resolve the issue, replace the Imaging Unit. If the defect persists, contact Lexmark Technical Support for additional troubleshooting suggestions.
