What you will see
 

Spots of toner or horizontal lines are seen on every printed page, repeating at a 96.8mm (3.81 inches) frequency. See sample printouts below.

Possible cause and recommended solution
 

This defect is most likely due to a damaged Imaging Unit, also called Photoconductor (PC). The PC drum can be damaged by Electrostatic discharge (ESD) or extended exposure to light.

Important! Do not touch the photoconductor drum or expose it to direct light for more than 10 minutes.

To resolve the issue, replace the Imaging Unit. If the defect persists, contact Lexmark Technical Support for additional troubleshooting suggestions.
