  2. Make sure the scanned paper size is available in the trays.

Explanation


The 900.80 Error indicates an invalid paper type (see secondary crash codes above).

The cause has been traced to a compatibility issue with the device's Copy Settings (autosize sense/match value) versus the available physical paper Tray Size settings.

What Happens?

If a certain paper size is scanned via ADF or Flatbed, and this size is unavailable in a paper tray, then the printer may display a 900.80 error. 

The expected  "paper size not available..." message is bypassed since the device is unable to determine dimensions of a particular scanned page size.
