Cartridge #24 is not being recognized on X3400 Series.
NOTE: Excluding the X3480 and X3470 model printers

Solution

The Firmware Version of the printer has to be updated.
Important: During the Firmware, update all USB devices must be unplugged except the Lexmark Printer that is being updated.
If wireless connection is used, the USB cable has to be connected for the time of the update. Also make sure that the printer is not powered off or unplugged during the update process as it can damage the printer. After the update process, the USB cable can be unplugged again.
