Suggested Remedy

If... Then... To do this:
You ignored the original notification to uninstall the printer driver... You can attempt to disable bidirectional communication support after you uninstall and reinstall the printer driver.
  1. Right-click the Lexmark Printer Device Object in “Devices and Printers” and choose “Remove Device”.
  2. Uninstall the Lexmark Series Printer using either the Lexmark Uninstaller or the Windows Programs and Features.
  3. Recommended: Download the latest driver available on support.lexmark.com and reinstall the print driver using the Lexmark installer software.
  4. After the reinstall of the printer, open the Printer Properties > Ports tab and remove the check from “Enable Bidirectional Support” checkbox.
  5. Restart the PC.
  6. Printing should be restored at this point.
