Overview 

The procedure below resets all current existing configuration settings.  Perform this procedure only if strictly necessary.   

Before you begin

As a precautionary measure, print the printer settings page  or export the printer/INA (internal network adapter) settings via the printer's web page. This will provide you with reconfiguration information.  Click here to access the full User's Guide for this printer.     

Procedure:  Restoring the Printer Default Settings

1. Make sure the ribbon cartridge is installed and paper is loaded.
2. Turn the printer Off. NOTE: Use the Start/Stop button for this purpose.
3. Open the ribbon access cover.
4. Manually slide the printhead carriage all the way to the left until it stops.  
5. Close the ribbon access cover.
6. Press and hold the Tear Off and Load/Unload buttons.  NOTE: Orange power LED should be visible.
7. With the buttons held down, simultaneously turn the printer On. NOTE: Use the Start/Stop button for this purpose.
   
8. Release the buttons after observing printhead movement.
   
   NOTE:  You will see the control panel lights blink several times before the printhead moves one last time.
