Vertical void trouble shooting; White gapping trouble shooting
Overview
Voids that appear at the top of the page, occurring approximately every seven and a half centimeters (three inches or so), and starting between five and 15mm (up to half an inch) into the page, are commonly called 'white gapping'. This issue can occur in any color, but will most probably be seen in the black color. (See illustration below.) Either the toner cartridge or the photo conductor being incorrectly seated are the most probable causes of this issue.
