When contacting Lexmark Technical Support or arranging warranty service, you will need to know your printer's machine (model) type, and serial number, and also the cartridge part number, and serial number. You can find machine information on labels located under the printer's top-front cover and on the back of the machine. Cartridge information is located on labels on the cartridge.
- The label under the top-front cover also lists the printer's part number (TLI) and configuration ID number (CID).
- The printer serial number and cartridge serial numbers are also listed on the Menu Settings page that can be printed from the printer’s operator panel: Menus > Reports > Menu Settings Page.
Locating the labels
To locate the Front Label, open the multipurpose feeder door and then open the upper-front cover. The serial number label is located toward the printer's left-hand side.
To locate the Back label, go around to the rear of the printer. The label is located on the lower right-hand side.
To locate Cartridge labels, remove the cartridge from the printer and place it on a flat, clean surface. The cartridge part number is on the large label below the handle. The cartridge serial number is below a barcode on the cartridge's lower-right side.
If you have any questions or encounter problems locating either of the labels, please contact Lexmark Technical Support.
