Release Notes

Lexmark Document Distributor 4 is an enterprise framework for hard copy document capture, processing and routing. Distributor provides the foundation to create customized scan applications tailored to individual business processes. Using an industry standard scripting language, a solutions developer can embed custom business rules into a script to dynamically prompt for metadata, make logical decisions from the metadata and automatically route a document to the correct destination(s). For those destinations with a formal document storage structure such as an ECM, Distributor can insert the file directly into the document management system and index the document appropriately for speedy retrieval. Delivery confirmation and notification can occur upon successful document insertion.
